During the third quarter of 2007, 62 collective agreements were ratified, each covering 200 or more Ontario employees. These agreements covered 36,012 employees, 59% of whom were in the public sector (Table 1). By industry, the majority of employees affected were in local government (8,013), followed by education and related services (7,985), and transportation (4,156) (Table 3).
