6. Activity by Union

A total of 108 unions will be bargaining on behalf of all employees whose agreements expire in 2008. In terms of employee numbers, 82.2% of the total number are represented by 10 unions (Table 1). CUPE will be negotiating the largest number of agreements at 14% of the total number, and will be representing the largest number of employees at 18.3% of the total number.
