Workers can be seriously injured in diamond drill incidents
Worker Responsibilities:
- Use proper guarding and safety
devices for drills
- Wear appropriate protective
gear provided by employer
- Be familiar with emergency
response procedures
provided by employer
Employer Responsibilities:
- Provide adequate guarding devices
for drills
- Provide an emergency preparedness
plan for the site
- Provide adequate supervision
- Provide prescribed training to both
workers and supervisors
- Provide adequate personal
protective clothing and equipment
