Unsafe practices can lead to illness

Workers

1. Report hazards to your supervisor/ employer
2. Follow safe work practices for infection prevention and control
3. Wear required personal protective equipment
4. Practice good hand hygiene
5. Know your right to refuse unsafe work

Employers / Supervisors

1. Provide adequate supervision
2. Provide required training to workers and supervisors
3. Inspect workplaces for infection hazards
4. Protect workers from infection hazards
5. Provide hand hygiene facilities
6. Ensure required personal protective equipment is properly used

To report incidents, critical injuries or fatalities, call the Ministry of Labour at 1-877-202-0008. In an emergency, always call 911 immediately.
