| Overtime | Special Rule Applies | The general overtime rule does not apply to these employees.
If they are engaged at the site of road maintenance in relation to streets, highways or parking lots, they are entitled to overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 55 in a work week. If they are engaged at the site of road maintenance in relation to structures such as bridges or tunnels, they are entitled to overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 50 in a week. In either case, limited averaging of hours over two successive work weeks is permitted without the approval of the Director of Employment Standards. O. Reg. 285/01, s. 13 |
